GoSnipe and eBay's maximum bid system

Here's my question.
Say for example:
Someone places a £20 bid on an item.
My GoSnipe bid maximum is set to £30.
With 5 seconds to go, GoSnipe places a £21 bid on the item.
Now say the other bidder, on eBay, has set an (automatic) maximum bid of £25 so, as soon as GoSnipe places my £21 bid, their maximum bid places an automatic, instantaneous higher bid at, say, £22.
Would GoSnipe be able to then outdo their bid in time before the 4 (or however many seconds) are left before the bid ends?

Also what do I do if my GoSnipe maximum bid is lower than their eBay maximum bid?

Bug report: Sort by date incorrect

When I sort by date, I get:
04/23/2012 14:37:05
04/23/2012 13:33:28
04/22/2012 18:04:10
04/22/2012 18:10:58
etc.

They seem to be roughly sorted, but not properly.
End time is also not properly sorted, obviously.

Feature request: Import from eBay watch list

My workflow right now is:
1) Find items on eBay
2) Add each item to my watch list
3) For each item use the goSnipe bookmarklet to add the item to my bid group and set a bid.

It would be easier to do it like this:
1) Find items on eBay
2) Add each item to my watch list
3) Import all new items from my watch list into my bid group. Set a group bid for all those items.

Feature request: Bulk edit bids

I have a rather large bid group.
Now I started with a group bid on the lower end of the scale.
Looks like it's too low and I want to increase it for the whole bid group.
As I see it now I have to click edit and update the bid on *every* item.
It would be very handy to select all items in a group and then update the bid for the whole selection.
It would be even nicer if on top of that you could select a number of items using checkboxes.

My gosnipe bid was Euro 51.66 and the winning bid was Euro 25.52.
Status is "outbid"!!!! That is ridicolous and I'm really disappointed.

I really love goSnipe. I have checked out many of the competing methods and goSnipe wins hands down in ease of use. The historical search has saved me lots of money. I can put in a realistic bid based on historical price performance, research further the prices on the products websites and other store/e-store based prices. With the benefit of being able to retract my bid if I find a better offer.

No way to goSnipe within eBay

I use Firefox and have not seen a way to access a popup window for goSnipe while looking at an eBay auction. This function is mentioned on the features page but no way is given to actually do it.

When I hit the edit button, nothing happens. I'd really like to change my max bid!

ebay changes their coding on a regular basis to counter sniper type software.

meaning ebays more powerful servers are changing code at a faster rate, then gosnipe can adjust to the new threat. Thats why id just do it the old fashion way, but with a mobile phone and wait for the last minute.

Is there any guarantee that you can give me,that gosnipes programmers are better then ebays elite hacker army. ?

i bidded £11 and the shoes ended at £7.50. i am furious. someone needs to get sued.

like the title explains this is what happend. however even worse. gosusnipe is lying that i ws outbid. When i looked on the bid history, my name isnt even there. (however ebay does say autamic bids arnet visible) yet when gosusnipe won my other shoes my bid is clearly visible. bahhhhhhhhhhh humbug. someone needs to die. FAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And i want my credit back though, im not even sure if i should continue using gs, it seem *unstable*. and has a mind of its own lying a.i.

How do i edit the seconds on the time left console.

It is my first time trying gosnipe and it failed to snipe my auction. I was very eager for this item so I'm dissapointed. I should have just bid manually instead of relying on this. My max bid was set at $63 and the winning bid was $62.15, and it said 'outbid'...something is wrong...

I have a snipe bid in but can't snipe another item. It says error were working on it ,We'll get back to you.It's been a couple hours, no change. I'm worried it won't snipe the item I sniped a day ago, the auction ends in an hour. Can I count on snipe to send my bid if it's already on my bid list and giving me an error message right now? It also gave me an error message when I tried to get support.Should I just bid on E-bay? Help I only have an hour to figure it out !!

just wanted you to kjnow that the floating login form popping up clicking the Login button on the top menu does not work well on this phone's web browser. Instead the Login link to the bottom right works fine.

After snipping an item the Cancel, change or Select Buttons do not work, why?
If I need to modify the maximum bid amount I cant until I am out bid.

My maximum bid for the item that I was trying to bid (which stood at 99 cents) was 15.96, the auction ended with a winning bid of $1.04 by someone else. I am extremely disappointed go snipe didn't bid on this item like it was supposed to. What went wrong? I was reading other discussion topics and yes, it does say "expired" under the Time Left tab and on Status it says "error" What the crap! :( This sucks

Question about goSnipe bid increments

In the rare case that two competing bidders are simultaneously using goSnipe, both bidders have the automatic incremental bid increase enabled, and each bidder has their max bid set at the same price, how does the loop terminate? Basically, is there a stopping point to how many times the goSnipe bid increment system automatically increases your bid?

Was kind of confused about the payment system on goSnipe...
After the 3 free snipes are used, must you add a dollar amount to your funds to purchase snipes? And if so, does 1 snipe = a set price?

But instead it seems like you guys are asking your customers to pay you a fund upfront... then you will be charged accordingly? The default input when I look at the funds page is $10. What happens if I don't end up using that entire $10, do you guys just pocket the leftovers?

I already have a leading bid on an item placed on the ebay site. I just discovered Gosnipe.com... I think some one will outbid me quite soon even if my max bid is double my leading bid.
I'm going away for the weekend, and wonder: If i Place a new and higher max bid in Gosnipe - will it outbid my current bid which I placed via ebay?

I am trying to look at "My Bids" and use "Sort By Date". It doesn't seem to matter what I click on, or which way I set it, I can't get the ones ending soonest to come to the top. It has something to do with the fact I have multiple bid groups and they span more than one page. It would be great to see them ending soonest first.

I recently lost an auction that the goSnipe service did not even attempt to bid on. The auction ended with zero bids however the goSnipe service shows I was outbid.

Hey just to let you know that I was bidding on an Ipod touch and I put a maximum of 280 and gosnipe did a bid of 285 dlls which was the winning bid.. Luckily it didn't go higher because I was just wanting to spend 280, I don't know if this was supposed to happen or why did it happen, but i am fearing that it happens again and that it goes higher!

Whoaw I love this thing! I just saw something at sports chalet two days ago, it costed 650 dollars. I just sniped it for $332!!!!! YES!!! Thats cheaper than the lowest quality BCD they had to offer! (and i purchased one of the best!!)

One bit of feedback I'd like to add is that I can't find the bookmarklet anywhere, I thought that was one of the main features (aside from the automatic bidding ;)?

Hi,

Gosnipe is a fantastic idea, here's a little feedback on my thoughts so far:

The first thing is that it would be nice if somewhere you could give a short overview of the features that Gosnipe offers, and maybe a walkthrough or two.

I mean, it's obviously incredibly simply to use - sure - but what does 'Instabid' mean? I'm assuming it automatically bids on you auctions, but all of them? I'm kinda scared to press it :)

For ppl like me who are new to this sniping thing, it would also help to explain exactly what the program does - i.e. puts a bit on at the very last second. Again I was a little concerned that it might place a bid for me automatically (I know that's kinda not the point) - but again, some reassurances would be good.

Finally - what's with the Lead Time option? Is there an advantage to making it a little faster - i.e. 3 secs? Or do I then run the risk of loosing the bid if there are network troubles etc? Again some explanation would be handy.

Anyhow - I have two auctions in progress so we'll see how they pan out. Seems like a great idea :)

As the title says overall WOW, it just works (well admittedly I havent watched a bid complete yet but so far everything in seamless and intuitive). So genuine congrats on making this and thanks for convincing me to sign up.
But obviously its brand new so a couple of oddities are to be expected. So just thought I'd let you know normal users such as myself get a "permission problem" screen when clicking on the dashboard screen from the forum page.
Only other question I have is at the moment this is 100% free. Do you have an idea yet how you will ultimately charge, will it be a flat fee per win like some competitors or a capped % like others, or remain free in which case how are you funding this great tool.
