General•bidding over my own bid?

  Hi
  
  I already have a leading bid on an item placed on the ebay site. I just discovered Gosnipe.com... I think some one will outbid me quite soon even if my max bid is double my leading bid.
  I'm going away for the weekend, and wonder: If i Place a new and higher max bid in Gosnipe - will it outbid my current bid which I placed via ebay?

  Yes, unfortunately it will. The system has no way of determining who the highest bidder is, so it can't be sure it's you.
