goSnipe is alway thinking of new and fresh ideas to improve the sniping experience and to get more people on board with using eBay auction snipers. The latest in this suite is the Auto-Adjust feature.
If selected, this feature will program the bidding system to bid just one increment higher in the event there is a tie between you and another bider and your bid falls just slightly short of meeting this next required bid to see if you successfully sniped an eBay auction item.
Let's explain...
eBay enforces the following bid increments. This means that if an item is bid up to a certain amount, you must bid one increment higher than that amount to win an item. As of August 14th, 2010, eBay published bid increments are as follows (increments are subject to change without notice):
Current Price Bid Increment $ 0.01 - $ 0.99 $0.05 $ 1.00 - $ 4.99 $0.25 $ 5.00 - $ 24.99 $0.50 $ 25.00 - $ 99.99 $1.00 $ 100.00 - $ 249.99 $2.50 $ 250.00 - $ 499.99 $5.00 $ 500.00 - $ 999.99 $10.00 $ 1000.00 - $ 2499.99 $25.00 $ 2500.00 - $ 4999.99 $50.00 $ 5000.00 and up $100.00 source: http://pages.ebay.com/help/buy/bid-increments.html
So if you are sniping an item and your maximum bid is set at $150 and the item is trading at $149 in the final seconds of the auction, your bid will not execute and you will lose the item. However, if you activate the Auto-Adjust feature, goSnipe's intuitive bidding software will automatically place a bid at one increment higher than the previous bid - in this case at $151.50. Competing bidders will then have to bid $154.00 to win the item. goSnipe is the first and only auction sniping software to offer this intuitive bidding option.
